The Englishman's Bed and Breakfast offers a taste of 18th Century Maine architecture with all the comforts of home. We have three guest rooms, two of which are in the main house - the Estate Room and the River Room. These rooms and associated bathrooms can be combined as a Suite (see plan of Suite layout here)

We also have free high-speed Wireless Internet in all rooms.

Breakfast is served in the Keeping Room (now Dining Room) with its magnificent fireplace and display of pewter and other antique items. Special menus can be prepared (e.g. vegetarian) with advanced notice.

A sample breakfast may include: juice, fruit cup, a main dish (e.g.. special bakes, quiches, puffs, pancakes, crepes), toast choice,  tea or coffee.

The River Room has a queen bed and adjoining full bath.

The Estate Room has  a King Bed and private half-bath (toilet and sink) - it shares the shower with the River Room in full bath at end of hallway.

The River and Estate Rooms combine to form a single suite. In addition to their bedroom, guests have full use of the lounge, to browse a selection of tourist literature, have a cup of our tea, or watch TV.

In addition we have our Carriage House guest cottage with a queen bed, TV/AC, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and a loft in which we have twin and full aerobeds.

A big thank you to Linda - one of our guests - who provided the above wide-angle views of the Carriage House interior, as well as two additional images on our home page.

A small tea gift shop in the main house has a range of teas for sale, as well as other tea related products from "Teas of Cherryfield".

Outside, the property is surrounded on two sides with a deck/veranda, where guests can sit, relax and enjoy the changing views of the Narraguagas River. Guests may also use the screened-in Gazebo to read, sip wine or beer and avoid any annoying insects!

Views across the river to our B&B.

There is a short walking path and bench along the river.
