The Englishman's Bed and Breakfast offers a taste of colonial Maine  with all the comforts of home.

We now also provide high-speed wireless internet access.

For guests arriving before 5 pm, we will serve afternoon tea in the living room, or, in summer, outside on the veranda/deck or gazebo.

 

 

Main Entrance

 

 

Breakfast is served in the Keeping Room (Dining Room) with its magnificent fireplace and display of antique pewter. Special menus can be prepared (e.g. vegetarian) with advanced notice.

A sample breakfast includes: juice, fruit, yoghurt, a main dish (e.g.. special bakes, quiches, puffs, pancakes, crepes), toast choice, "baked goodie of the day" and tea or coffee.

 

 

The River Room has a queen bed and an adjoining full bath.

The Estate Room has  King Bed and private half-bath.

The River and Estate Rooms combine to form a single suite. In addition to their bedroom, guests have full use of the lounge, to browse a selection of books, listen to music or watch TV. We also maintain a range of tourism information.

In addition we have a Guest House/Apartment that can also be rented for self-catering stays. Call for rates.

                 

 

 

   

   

   

   

 

Views of the Guest House

 

A small "gift" shop has a range of eclectic items for sale, including  antiques, Prospect Harbor Soaps,  Downeast Drawings Wildlife Art Gallery items, photographs by Joyce Ingrisano, and products from "Teas of Cherryfield". 

Outside, the property is surrounded on two sides with a deck/veranda, where guests can sit and enjoy the views of the Narraguagas River. Guests can also use the screened-in gazebo to sit and relax
