Directions to the Englishman's Bed and Breakfast.

From Ellsworth: 29.5 miles via Rt 1 and Rt 182; 39 miles if you stay on Rt 1 all the way.

From Machias: 27 miles via Rt. 1. Make sure you keep on Rt.1 and do not take Rt. 1A to Milbridge. You must take a right turn after the Irving Gas Station and go through Harrington. You then see a sign saying "Entering Cherryfield" and a little further along another saying "Entering Milbridge" - KEEP GOING - you will re-enter Cherryfield in a few miles and go down a steep hill with many historic homes on either side. At the bottom of the hill and BEFORE you cross the river, take a right. We are then 0.7 miles on the left, the house with the long white fence.

From Bangor: 58 miles via Rt 9 and Rt 193.

From Calais (International Border Crossing): 70 miles via Rt 1, Rt 9 and Rt 193.

From Bar Harbor: 45 miles via Rt 204, Mud Creek Rd and Rt 182. 58 miles via Rt 3 to Ellsworth and Rt 1 via Milbridge.
